Nugget Markets

Nugget Markets wanted to create a web presence that reflected the unique experience of shopping at one of their stores - an experience that is far removed from the bright lights and primary colors of the mainstream chains.

Working with our local design partner, TCB Productions, we created a visually rich visual design that captures the feel of the in-store experience.

The technical challenges started with Nugget's desire to have store-specific information to reflect the distinctive features of each store. We created a custom Content Management System (CMS) in which generic store information is inherited by default by specific stores, but where each specific store can both select which departments, sections and lines it includes and also override the inherited content at an individual page level.

The CMS allows authors to focus on content, while the system manages all aspects of navigation, page and link management. The solution is web-based, allowing authors to conveniently access the system from any computer with a web connection.
